The Toronto Maple Leafs looked like they were over their heads in their return to the playoffs on Wednesday, but not so in game two: the Leafs beat Boston 4-2, to pull even with the Bruins at a game apiece in their Eastern Conference quarter-final. Toronto Blue Jays manager John Gibbons says they are all pretty beat up mentally right now. The Seattle Mariners added to the Blue Jays' woes with an 8-1 victory. R.A. Dickey took the loss, as the Jays lost for the 10th time in 12 games.The Chicago Bulls became the eighth and final team to advance to the second round of the N-B-A playoffs, with a 99-93 Game-Seven victory over the Brooklyn Nets.Today is the last day of the Tim Horton's World 3 on 3 Street Hockey Championship, being held at Long Wharf. The event is a fundraiser for Mind Care, which raises money for multiple mental health projects in the community.
