It's been almost two weeks since the bombing in Boston. The victims' are slowly coming to grips with their injuries and the tragic losses they must learn to deal with.Could someone please explain to me why, after nearly fourteen days , we are still seeing "their" (terrorists), faces all over the news? I don't care what "they" look like. I'm quite sure Boston residents' don't want to see "them" everyday.Boston lost so much that day, but with the losses they have managed to come out even stronger.
The finish line of the Boston Marathon as 1st bomb detonatedHow about we give the victims' some air time? Let's focus on their healing.I am very disturbed at how television and other forms of media make "them" (terrorists), the centre of attention. Almost to the point of celebrity status.
Krystle Campbell described as ambitious and loving. For instance, eight year old Martin Richard, I wonder how Martin's family feel about seeing their little boy's murderer on T.V. day after day? Or how about Lingzi Lu's family? Sean Collier's? Krystle Campbell's? When do the victims and their families get some rights?
Sean Collier MIT Officer shot and killed 4 days after bombing.
Martin Richard 8 years oldGoing as far back as the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing - I wouldn't be able to tell you who the victims' were - BUT - I would know Timothy McVeigh's face. He was another terrorist who got more coverage than he deserved.
Lingzi Lu Boston U. Grad studentSame thing goes for the terrorists' families. The majority of the people, I think, would concur - we don't care how they feel.Stop making these terrible, heinous terrorists the focus. They lost that right when they decided to turn Boston and the surrounding area into a war zone. You caught him - let's forget him.If you would like to help with the victims' costs of recovery please go to www.gofundme.com . They will need all the help they can get.just my point of view... :o)
